News, News, News

Well, so much has happened since I last posted. I quit my job. My last day is August 22nd. And speaking of quitting, David is quitting his PhD program. Oh, and then there's the fact that by this time next month we'll probably be living in New York, Virginia, Mississippi, or South Korea. Whew! There's a slim chance that we'll stay in Cincinnati, but that chance is growing slimmer by the hour. We should know everything by Tuesday or Wednesday of this coming week. Say some prayers for us! David will be traveling quite a bit over the next couple of days, and we've got a lot of stuff to do in a very short amount of time!

I'll divulge the whole story as soon as the dust settles and I know a little more about where we are going.

guys! goodluck with your life-changes! i must admit, it does sound mighty-like /you/ are posing off /my/ recent going-ons: i'm also planning on leaving my phd program, starting a MAT in TESOL and moving to NYC.
i think i've started a trend!

i say this without knowing what your situation is exactly, so please don't think i'm being rude or tacky, making light of a serious situation.

St Alphonsus Liguori, pray for us all!

Mary-

It's cool. This situation should be made light of. I've had a tendency to take it more seriously than I should. We're gonna move somewhere. That's no big deal. David is happy to leave his program and I am happy to leave my current situation. It's the WHERE that is getting to me. The only part I'm bummed about is leaving Cincinnati. This is a great town and we live in an awesome neighborhood.

Oh, Update for everyone-- Our waiting period has been extended and we should know by Friday where we are going, I hope, or I might go mad in anticipation.

The wait is killing me. I can't image how you feel!

I'm actually pretty much dying, especially since our wait has just been extended again to Monday. Don't be surprised if we go to South Korea though. That's the way things are leaning right now.

That was Monica who was "pretty much dying", by the way. I'm anxious but have my pipe to soothe my nerves. I'm sort of indifferent where we go at this point--the wait has worn away at my preferences.
